The Border Adds Style to Simple Blocks!

Easy four-patch blocks form the center of this charming quilt. Blocks set on point create a delightful border, giving the quilt a wonderful finishing touch.

This project is perfect for charm pack squares (5″) or 10″ layer cake squares cut into four. That also simplifies fabric selection, as the fabrics will already be coordinated for you.

Or, cut squares from your stash and create your own combination of colors and fabric styles. The designer added a few ginghams to hers for extra appeal but go with whatever suits you best.

The quilt will be lovely in many color combinations, too. We can easily imagine it in soft blues and tans, as well as full-on scrappy. This easy quilt will be a fun one to play with, making it your own.

Once completed, the quilt from Susie’s Scraps is 65 1/2″ square, a nicely sized throw for just about anywhere.

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest has featured many patterns from vendors participating in the Craftsy Marketplace, most of which have been deleted by Craftsy. It's going to take awhile for us to hunt down new sources for those patterns. In the meantime there are many links to patterns on our site that no longer work. We apologize if this article contains one or more of those links and appreciate your patience while we straighten things out. Thank you!

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest does not sell or otherwise provide patterns directly. We showcase patterns and projects from various vendors, bloggers and other sources. Please make a note of where you access a pattern (the link in the yellow box toward the end of each Quilting Digest article). That way you can contact Support for that source if you have downloading problems or other issues. Thank you!
