Pieced Flowers Make a Pretty Quilt (and Mini!)
Retro-Look Fabrics Are Stunning or Give it Your Own Look!
Pretty pieced flowers dance across this quilt, making us think of spring and summer gardens. Cheerful fabrics are just the right touch for its sunny disposition.
Despite the complexity of the blocks, this quilt is a simple one to stitch together. Take your time and enjoy watching the flowers come together.
We can imagine this quilt given other personalities. Simply change the colors and fabric styles. Imagine it in deep rich colors against a black background. Civil War era fabrics would be lovely, too, while giving it another look.
There are many directions you can take this pattern and achieve a wonderful version that’s uniquely yours.
The pattern, from Nadra Ridgeway of Ellis and Higgs, is for a 60 ½” x 78 ½” quilt. Add more blocks for a larger quilt.
A pattern is also available for a mini quilt of 4 small blocks. It’s perfect for a table topper or for your wall.
The finished size is 20 ½” x 20 ½”.
