Ribbon Box Quilt Proves That Sometimes Simple is Best

Great Project for Beginning Quilters!
Sometimes, you find a quilt design that is so simple yet stunningly effective that you’re a bit awed by it. That was the case when we saw the “Ribbon Box Quilt” by Michelle Engel Bencsko for Make It Sew Projects from Cloud 9 Fabrics.
We love the soft colors and patchwork feel of this quilt but can easily imagine it sewn up with more vivid fabrics. Either way, it will make an impact wherever you display it.
Piecing this quilt is a snap. Follow the explicit diagrams to arrange the various fabrics in the right spots. Simple straight-line machine stitching and stipple quilting emphasize the quilt’s design.
Both beginning and experienced quilters will enjoy this pattern and find that it goes together quite quickly.
The finished quilt is 55″ x 63″.
