Make These Patchwork Stockings in Your Favorite Colors!
It wouldn’t be Christmas without stockings hung on the mantel, or displayed elsewhere in the home.
These scrappy stockings offer lots of options for customizing them for each family member. Simply vary the color and overall pattern to suit each person. You could even machine embroider their name on the cuff.
The pattern by A Little Crispy gives 5 patchwork options, but feel free to get creative and make your own designs from the squares and instructions provided.
Once completed, they measure approximately 8.5″ x 14″, not including the loop.
These stockings would look great in many different color schemes. The following stockings found on Simplify (made by Tasha at A Little Sweetness) were sewn up using a slightly different pattern. Even so, they give you some ideas of how you can vary the colors of the stockings made with our pattern (notice the darling pom pom trim – an easy add-on).
Dig into your fabric scraps and pull out your stash. You may already have everything you need to make several of these delightful stockings.
Get started now and you’ll have new Christmas stockings for every family member in time for the big event!
PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest has featured many patterns from vendors participating in the Craftsy Marketplace, most of which have been deleted by Craftsy. It's going to take awhile for us to hunt down new sources for those patterns. In the meantime there are many links to patterns on our site that no longer work. We apologize if this article contains one or more of those links and appreciate your patience while we straighten things out. Thank you!
PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest does not sell or otherwise provide patterns directly. We showcase patterns and projects from various vendors, bloggers and other sources. Please make a note of where you access a pattern (the link in the yellow box toward the end of each Quilting Digest article). That way you can contact Support for that source if you have downloading problems or other issues. Thank you!
