Make a Set of Pot Holders or More!
Veggie motifs are perfect for any kitchen, and these pot holders are lovely renditions of some of our favorites. There’s an ear of corn, tomato, eggplant and watermelon slice. Make one or all four for yourself or to give.
You can also set several of the blocks into a small quilt for your kitchen wall or table. Or, use the blocks in other projects, like a pocket for an apron. However you choose to use them they’re sure to evoke the warm sense of home.

Paper piecing makes these easy to put together, and are a good first project if you haven’t tried it before. You’ll find many helpful paper piecing tips here.
The finished pot holders, designed by Carol E. Vyncke, are 6 1/2″ x 6 1/2″.

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest has featured many patterns from vendors participating in the Craftsy Marketplace, most of which have been deleted by Craftsy. It's going to take awhile for us to hunt down new sources for those patterns. In the meantime there are many links to patterns on our site that no longer work. We apologize if this article contains one or more of those links and appreciate your patience while we straighten things out. Thank you! PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest does not sell or otherwise provide patterns directly. We showcase patterns and projects from various vendors, bloggers and other sources. Please make a note of where you access a pattern (the link in the yellow box toward the end of each Quilting Digest article). That way you can contact Support for that source if you have downloading problems or other issues. Thank you!
Thanks for sharing these delicious patterns!
I tried to get the free patterns, entered my email address like it said and came up with the red bar that said “download”, but nothing happens. I tried is several times but nothing!!! What do I do now?
Lois, assuming you clicked the link in the yellow box and went to Quiltmaker and entered your email address, the pattern PDF should open when you click on the “Download Now” link. It probably won’t appear if you don’t have Adobe Reader installed on your machine (get it here: https://get.adobe.com/reader/). If that doesn’t work and you’re on a laptop or desktop computer, you can right-click your mouse and choose “save as” or “save link as” to force the download. If you don’t have a mouse, like on a tablet or phone, you can bring up the right-click menu by holding your finger on the screen for one to two seconds, or until the menu appears. I hope this helps!
I went to Quiltmaker just like Lois did and the pink “Download Now” button does not work. BUT if you click on the PICTURE, that works!
How cute! Hopefully if I try something this small and can do it, I can move onto something bigger!
