Get Off to a Quick Start with Jelly Roll Strips in Cotton or Flannel!

Dark red, blue and green mixed with a variety of tans make an inviting and cozy quilt. It’s perfect for snuggling with during chilly weather. While the pattern specifies quilting cotton, flannel will be wonderful in this quilt.

Choose a wide selection of 2 1/2″ jelly roll strips, either from a complete jelly roll or from leftovers in your stash. You’ll need half in darker colors and half in light to complete the design. Then select two colors to use in the borders to tie the strips together, like the green and red used here.

Road Block Quilt Pattern

This is an easy quilt to complete, even for beginning quilters. You’ll have it stitched together before you know it.

The finished quilt, designed by Kathy Brown, is 64″ x 76″.

You’ll find the pattern for the “Road Block” quilt in Favorite Quilts From Precuts.

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest has featured many patterns from vendors participating in the Craftsy Marketplace, most of which have been deleted by Craftsy. It's going to take awhile for us to hunt down new sources for those patterns. In the meantime there are many links to patterns on our site that no longer work. We apologize if this article contains one or more of those links and appreciate your patience while we straighten things out. Thank you!

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest does not sell or otherwise provide patterns directly. We showcase patterns and projects from various vendors, bloggers and other sources. Please make a note of where you access a pattern (the link in the yellow box toward the end of each Quilting Digest article). That way you can contact Support for that source if you have downloading problems or other issues. Thank you!
