Delight a mom and her little one with this charming rocking horse design. While the quilt seems a bit nostalgic, vivid red and blue are right up to date.

Of course, it will be lovely in other colors as well. Soft pinks and blues are perfect, as are whatever colors you know the mom loves.

We can easily imagine this in Christmas colors, too (just substitute green for the blue!). It will be a lovely reminder of days gone by to pull out every year. Use it on a wall, table, or as a lap quilt.

Easy piecing and fusible applique make it a simple quilt to put together. The prairie point edge is a lovely finishing touch.

The completed quilt, designed by Barbara Clayton, is 43 1/2″ x 43 1/2″ without the prairie points.
