Try This Simple Method for Adding Sashing

No More Sewing Long Rows Together!
Have you ever struggled to stitch on rows of sashing in between rows of blocks? It’s simpler, and often more precise, to sash each block individually before sewing them together.
In the following video Susan Claire, the Gourmet Quilter, demonstrates the process by adding sashing to 5″ charm squares. In the process she creates a lovely quilt that doesn’t require a pattern.
Choose a beautiful charm pack and put your own lovely quilt together. Or, use her process the next time you need to add sashing and cornerstones (or posts, as Susan calls them) to a quilt made of more complex blocks.

That’s exactly what I did on the Splendid Sampler quilt I just finished. It’s SO much easier.
