A Perfect Quilt Pattern for Pre-Cut Fabrics!

Pull out your scraps, fat quarters, jelly rolls or charm squares for this lovely quilt. It’s constructed entirely of 2 1/2″ squares in two block designs. While it looks complicated, it’s a quick and easy project, even for beginning quilters.

While this is essentially a scrap quilt, the deep purple boxes and coordinating border give it a unified look.

We love the purple chosen by the designer, Connie Campbell. It’s easy to imagine this in another predominant color, as well. A soft red would be lovely, as would your favorite color.

Connie’s second version uses more subdued fabrics and is just as beautiful. Perhaps it will inspire you to play with color combinations for yours.

If selecting fabrics is hard for you, just choose your favorite color for the boxes, a coordinating border fabric, and a variety of colorful scraps. You can’t go wrong with fabric selection for this quilt.

The finished quilt is 60″ x 72″.

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest has featured many patterns from vendors participating in the Craftsy Marketplace, most of which have been deleted by Craftsy. It's going to take awhile for us to hunt down new sources for those patterns. In the meantime there are many links to patterns on our site that no longer work. We apologize if this article contains one or more of those links and appreciate your patience while we straighten things out. Thank you!

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest does not sell or otherwise provide patterns directly. We showcase patterns and projects from various vendors, bloggers and other sources. Please make a note of where you access a pattern (the link in the yellow box toward the end of each Quilting Digest article). That way you can contact Support for that source if you have downloading problems or other issues. Thank you!
