Use Scraps to Make Charming Jumbo Coasters

They’re Wonderful Gifts!
These charming little quilted circles are an in-between size that you’ll reach for often. Use them as trivets for small hot bowls or as coasters for large cups and mugs.
They’re great for leftover pieces of your favorite prints. The piped edges are nice finishing details although you can omit the piping and top-stitch around the outside edges instead.
These are super easy to make and great for beginners. Excellent instructions make them a breeze to put together. Go ahead and make extras while you’re at it as they make thoughtful gifts.
The finished mini trivets, from Sew 4 Home, are about 6″ across. Add a layer of Insul-Bright batting for additional heat-proofing if you plan to use them as trivets.
