The Mug Rugs Make Fun Pot Holders, Too!
Appliqued hexagons create darling snow people in these cute little mug rugs. If you enjoy hexies but not the work you’ll love how these go together.
The mug rugs are large enough for pot holders, too. Or, add a border to increase their size if you like bigger hot pads. Insul-Bright batting will provide heat proofing.
The gray polka dot background evokes a snowy winter day. We can also imagine navy with dots or another deeper color so the snowmen stand out more.
While the snowmen look complicated, they’re so easy even a beginner can finish them up. You may want to make several to give as gifts. Or, choose different accent colors for each one and hang them on a wall in the kitchen every year for instant holiday decor.
The mug rugs are 7″ x 7″ once completed.
You’ll find the “Hexie Snowman Mug Rug” pattern in Deck the Halls With Quilting Christmas.
PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest has featured many patterns from vendors participating in the Craftsy Marketplace, most of which have been deleted by Craftsy. It's going to take awhile for us to hunt down new sources for those patterns. In the meantime there are many links to patterns on our site that no longer work. We apologize if this article contains one or more of those links and appreciate your patience while we straighten things out. Thank you!
PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest does not sell or otherwise provide patterns directly. We showcase patterns and projects from various vendors, bloggers and other sources. Please make a note of where you access a pattern (the link in the yellow box toward the end of each Quilting Digest article). That way you can contact Support for that source if you have downloading problems or other issues. Thank you!
