Play with Color and Print Styles for Your Own Interpretation!
Luscious color makes a big impression in this eye-catching table quilt. It will be a beautiful addition wherever you choose to display it.
Choose vibrant solids, like in this example, or go with prints for a totally different presentation.
Gray tips give the illusion of layers as if the green and blue star was laying on top of a gray star. It’s a nice effect to keep in mind as you’re planning your own interpretation.
At first glance, the example above, by Cara from Moonlight Quilts, seems like a different pattern. It’s simply a variation with a slightly different arrangement of colors and values.
The photos above and below, from Portsmouth Fabric Company, show other possible variations.
The finished quilt, designed by Julie at Jaybird Quilts, is 20 1/2″ x 23″.
The Sidekick or Super Sidekick ruler will allow the project to go more quickly. Both are available here.
PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest has featured many patterns from vendors participating in the Craftsy Marketplace, most of which have been deleted by Craftsy. It's going to take awhile for us to hunt down new sources for those patterns. In the meantime there are many links to patterns on our site that no longer work. We apologize if this article contains one or more of those links and appreciate your patience while we straighten things out. Thank you!
PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest does not sell or otherwise provide patterns directly. We showcase patterns and projects from various vendors, bloggers and other sources. Please make a note of where you access a pattern (the link in the yellow box toward the end of each Quilting Digest article). That way you can contact Support for that source if you have downloading problems or other issues. Thank you!
