Choose Between a Runner or a Table Topper!
What could be more classic than an Irish Chain quilt made up in scrappy green and white? This pretty table runner is a beautiful example that will be a lovely addition to any home.
Display the runner for a fresh spot of spring color or for St. Patrick’s Day every year. Or go ahead and make it up in a color combination you’ll enjoy for use all year long.
Simple strip-pieced nine-patch blocks and squares combine to make the Irish Chain design. It’s an easy project that finishes quickly.
Choose between three table-sized quilts made from yardage or scrap strips. One is a lovely square table topper that would also be nice on a wall.
The designer, Anna Fournelle of Fresh Dew Drops, provides instructions for the following quilt sizes:
- Table Runner – 13″ x 40″
- Long Table Runner – 13″ x 58″
- Table Topper or Wallhanging – 31″ x 31″
PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest has featured many patterns from vendors participating in the Craftsy Marketplace, most of which have been deleted by Craftsy. It's going to take awhile for us to hunt down new sources for those patterns. In the meantime there are many links to patterns on our site that no longer work. We apologize if this article contains one or more of those links and appreciate your patience while we straighten things out. Thank you!
PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest does not sell or otherwise provide patterns directly. We showcase patterns and projects from various vendors, bloggers and other sources. Please make a note of where you access a pattern (the link in the yellow box toward the end of each Quilting Digest article). That way you can contact Support for that source if you have downloading problems or other issues. Thank you!
