Stitch Up a Handy Project Bag
Perfect for Quilting, Hand Sewing and Much More!
This well-designed bag began as a way for a young girl to store her drawing books and sketch pads. However, it works beautifully for quilting and sewing projects, as well as for many other uses (keep this in mind when you need a special gift!).
The interior has a zippered pouch, a mesh zippered pocket and elastic loops for scissors, pens and other odds and ends. The bottom of the bag has an elastic buckle strap to hold quilt blocks, rulers, books and more. Foam and other interfacings give the bag structure, while a large zipper allows it to open up flat.
Select a beautiful fabric for the outside of the bag and compatible fabrics for the interior. Or, add a pieced block to one side to make the bag uniquely yours. You’ll find several beautiful examples to spark your creativity here.
