The Braided Style Will be Lovely in Other Fabrics, Too!

Strips of batik fabric stitch up quickly into a charming little mug rug. This is a great project for using up leftover five inch charm squares you already have in your stash.

Batiks are beautiful in this project and other fabric styles will be as well. Small prints of any kind, including ginghams and plaids, will be lovely made into this quilted braid.

Batik Braid Mug Rug

This is a very easy project that even beginning quilters can finish quickly. It makes a lovely gift, too, so make several while you’re at it. You can have one made up in an hour or two.

The finished mug rug is about 6″ x 9″.
