The Designs Can Be Used So Many Ways!

These darling little mug rugs are perfect for spring and will be lovely Easter gifts. Use them as you would coasters or hang them in a grouping on a wall for a pretty seasonal display.

The templates are very versatile. As the designer suggests:

“Use them in mug rugs as shown, or create an Easter table runner. Sew quilt blocks to use in a larger quilt or to frame for the walls of a child’s room. The eggs can be left out or more eggs added.”

They can also be enlarged into small wall hangings and table mats. For example, simply print the applique shapes at 200% and adjust the background accordingly for a quilt that’s twice as big.

These fun projects are easy to make using fusible applique and scraps. You can have several made in just a few hours.

The completed mug rugs, designed by Karen Lee from KLee 2Strings are 6″ x 8″.

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest has featured many patterns from vendors participating in the Craftsy Marketplace, most of which have been deleted by Craftsy. It's going to take awhile for us to hunt down new sources for those patterns. In the meantime there are many links to patterns on our site that no longer work. We apologize if this article contains one or more of those links and appreciate your patience while we straighten things out. Thank you!

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest does not sell or otherwise provide patterns directly. We showcase patterns and projects from various vendors, bloggers and other sources. Please make a note of where you access a pattern (the link in the yellow box toward the end of each Quilting Digest article). That way you can contact Support for that source if you have downloading problems or other issues. Thank you!
