A Great Use of Scraps!

If you like to read, even occasionally, treat yourself to a pretty patchwork bookmark. They are so easy to make, and quick too. You can have several completed in just a few hours. Good thing, as they make wonderful quicky gifts.

Dig into your scrap bag and pull out nice combinations of fabric. The following video, from Whitney Sews, shows you how quickly they go together.

Once you have the basics down, go ahead and get creative. We love how Whitney centered a motif on hers for a more complex look but simple patchwork is also lovely.

Or go ahead and add a bit of fusible applique. The ribbon at the top can be switched for lace and other pretty things, as well.

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest does not sell or otherwise provide patterns directly. We showcase patterns and projects from various vendors, bloggers and other sources. Please make a note of where you access a pattern (the link in the yellow box toward the end of each Quilting Digest article). That way you can contact Support for that source if you have downloading problems or other issues. Thank you!
