You’ll Find a Lot of Great Ideas Here!
Have you ever struggled with seams that don’t match, or with getting stuck in a corner while free motion quilting? The solutions to these and three other common problems are simpler than you might imagine.
Lindsay Conner has written an excellent article about fixing these issues. While we don’t entirely agree with her solution for wavy borders (see the article here), her idea for avoiding mismatched seams is ingenious. We especially like the idea of using glue, as recommended by Mary Ann in the comments.
In fact, be sure to read through the comments, too, as you’ll find many useful ideas there. It’s likely that that you’ll find a solution for a problem you’re having mentioned either in the comments or the article itself.
Inaccurate piecing can lead to a whole host of problems. You’ll find some great tips for improving your accuracy in the following article by Amy Gibson.
PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest has featured many patterns from vendors participating in the Craftsy Marketplace, most of which have been deleted by Craftsy. It's going to take awhile for us to hunt down new sources for those patterns. In the meantime there are many links to patterns on our site that no longer work. We apologize if this article contains one or more of those links and appreciate your patience while we straighten things out. Thank you!
PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest does not sell or otherwise provide patterns directly. We showcase patterns and projects from various vendors, bloggers and other sources. Please make a note of where you access a pattern (the link in the yellow box toward the end of each Quilting Digest article). That way you can contact Support for that source if you have downloading problems or other issues. Thank you!
