Luscious Strawberries Make a Lovely Quilt

There’s a Mini Version, Too!

Luscious strawberry blocks in pretty prints make a charming quilt to enjoy every summer. You can almost smell the sweet scent of sun-kissed strawberries just by looking at it.

Choose a variety of prints for a beautiful quilt, keeping in mind that not all the berries need to be red for them to read as strawberries (although they certainly can be). Play with fabrics until you achieve a pleasing combination.

Make the full quilt or consider using blocks in other projects. We love the pillow below from Pam Kitty Morning.

The finished quilt, designed by Margot Languedoc of The Pattern Basket, is 53″ by 66″. That’s perfect for a throw, or adjust the number of blocks to change the size.

There’s also a mini version available (two examples shown above) that finishes at 22″ by 19 3/4″. It will be lovely on a wall with other minis or in a small spot by itself. Or display it on a table.

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest has featured many patterns from vendors participating in the Craftsy Marketplace, most of which have been deleted by Craftsy. It's going to take awhile for us to hunt down new sources for those patterns. In the meantime there are many links to patterns on our site that no longer work. We apologize if this article contains one or more of those links and appreciate your patience while we straighten things out. Thank you!

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest does not sell or otherwise provide patterns directly. We showcase patterns and projects from various vendors, bloggers and other sources. Please make a note of where you access a pattern (the link in the yellow box toward the end of each Quilting Digest article). That way you can contact Support for that source if you have downloading problems or other issues. Thank you!
