Make a Pretty Pillowcase with Decorative Trim

It’s Easy Enough for Beginners!
This pretty pillowcase will be a lovely addition to any bed. Lace, ric rac, and other trims are charming extra touches that dress it up beautifully.
Start by choosing a beautiful print for the pillowcase and a coordinating one for the cuff. Look through your leftover trims for combinations that work nicely. Ric rac, lace, and braid were used in the example, but ribbon works, too.
Depending on the fabrics you choose, the pillowcase can have many personalities. Match it to a quilt or make it in a combination that a friend will enjoy for a lovely gift.
Notice how the designer used three embellishments. The lace faces the body of the pillowcase, ric rac faces the cuff, and the space in between is covered with an embellished braid.
The tutorial by Lauren from Molly and Mama is for a pillowcase that’s the standard USA size of 20” x 26”. However, it is easily adjustable to fit other pillows and cushions.
