Play with Color to Make Your Own Unique Version!
A reversal of positive and negative spaces creates an appealing design in this beautiful quilt. The center blocks are dark against light, while the border is created from light against dark blocks.
The quilt will be wonderful in any color palette. A two-color theme will be striking or go with a broader palette. Just be mindful of value contrasts to replicate the overall design.
We played in Photoshop a bit to see it on other colors.
And to see it with bolder color contrasts.
There are so many other possibilities. If you enjoy playing with color, this quilt provides many beautiful options.
Finish the quilt with beautiful free motion quilting or create a straight-line quilting design to do with your walking foot.
The completed quilt, designed by Anneliese and Brenda from Eye Candy Quilts, is 64″ x 64″. Add more blocks to the center for a larger quilt.
PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest has featured many patterns from vendors participating in the Craftsy Marketplace, most of which have been deleted by Craftsy. It's going to take awhile for us to hunt down new sources for those patterns. In the meantime there are many links to patterns on our site that no longer work. We apologize if this article contains one or more of those links and appreciate your patience while we straighten things out. Thank you!
PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest does not sell or otherwise provide patterns directly. We showcase patterns and projects from various vendors, bloggers and other sources. Please make a note of where you access a pattern (the link in the yellow box toward the end of each Quilting Digest article). That way you can contact Support for that source if you have downloading problems or other issues. Thank you!
