String Stars Make a Quick and Easy Table Runner |
Choose Fabrics to Fit Any Season or Decor!
Easy piecing and strips from your stash combine in this charming holiday table runner. Choose a variety of seasonal fabrics that match your holiday decor and a background for them to sparkle against.
In this version red and green prints shine against a white background. We can easily imagine this made up in other colors and for different seasons. For example, autumn colors will be stunning against a black background.
This project is easy enough for even beginning quilters. If you can cut accurately and sew a consistent 1/4″ seam you can make this runner.
The Fons and Porter 60 degree pyramid ruler will speed the construction process. You can purchase that here: Fons and Porter Pyramid Ruler.
Finished dimensions for this runner from The Sewing Chick are not provided but you can easily alter the length depending on how many stars you use.
PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest has featured many patterns from vendors participating in the Craftsy Marketplace, most of which have been deleted by Craftsy. It's going to take awhile for us to hunt down new sources for those patterns. In the meantime there are many links to patterns on our site that no longer work. We apologize if this article contains one or more of those links and appreciate your patience while we straighten things out. Thank you!
PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest does not sell or otherwise provide patterns directly. We showcase patterns and projects from various vendors, bloggers and other sources. Please make a note of where you access a pattern (the link in the yellow box toward the end of each Quilting Digest article). That way you can contact Support for that source if you have downloading problems or other issues. Thank you!
