This lighthearted quilt will be lovely on your table, wall or for a new baby. A pinwheel block is the star, surrounded by multiple pieced and plain borders.

It would also be nice with any special block in the center. Just omit the pinwheels in the outside corners. The configuration of the borders will make the block shine.

Plus, the quilt is so easy to make. Keep the pattern on hand for the next time you need a quick gift for a new mom, housewarming or any special occasion.

The light and breezy fabrics chosen by designers Chloe Anderson and Colleen Reale give this quilt a sunny disposition. Feel free to vary the colors to suit your taste and decor.

The designers stitched an overall swirl for the quilting. The simple free motion quilt design we feature here would be lovely as well.

The finished quilt is 40 1⁄2″ square .
