It’s Great for Showcasing Beautiful Fabric!
This charming quilt is fun, easy, and has two block options. Make either the four-patch version or the large-square option. Either way, it’s a great project for featuring a special combination of fabric.
Plus, it’s very versatile. According to the designer, Andy Knowlton from A Bright Corner:
“Prime Time is a great way to use Layer Cake squares, but you also have the option of using Charm squares, Fat Quarters, or yardage. And it works with any fabric – florals, geometrics, batiks and even solids. It’s really versatile! It would even make a fun I-Spy style quilt with fussy cut fabrics in each block.”
The quilt will also be charming made up in prints for any season. It’s easy to imagine it in Christmas colors as well as in beautiful autumn prints.
Choose between four quilt sizes, and don’t be surprised if you make more than one:
- Baby – 53″ x 53″
- Throw – 53″ x 71″
- Twin – 71″ x 88″
- Queen – 106″ x 106″
PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest has featured many patterns from vendors participating in the Craftsy Marketplace, most of which have been deleted by Craftsy. It's going to take awhile for us to hunt down new sources for those patterns. In the meantime there are many links to patterns on our site that no longer work. We apologize if this article contains one or more of those links and appreciate your patience while we straighten things out. Thank you!
PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest does not sell or otherwise provide patterns directly. We showcase patterns and projects from various vendors, bloggers and other sources. Please make a note of where you access a pattern (the link in the yellow box toward the end of each Quilting Digest article). That way you can contact Support for that source if you have downloading problems or other issues. Thank you!
