Use Your Preferred Applique Method!

Graceful tulips seem to swirl in this beautiful appliqued quilt. The scalloped border detail sets the tulip blocks off perfectly.

Cheerful prints are lovely against the mustard background. Plaids and polka dots add to the quilt’s lighthearted feel.

Dutch Tulip Quilt Pattern

The quilt is perfect for your wall or table. Or, if you’re feeling ambitious, add more blocks for a larger quilt. One block will be lovely finished off as a mini quilt, too.

This is a wonderful project for hand applique. The designer provides instructional videos to help you get started. You’ll find them here.

If hand applique isn’t your thing, make up it up using fusible applique. Be sure to remove the seam allowances when cutting out the shapes. Finish the edges with a machine blanket stitch or another stitch of your choice.

The finished quilt, from Piece O’ Cake, is 31″ x 31″.

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest has featured many patterns from vendors participating in the Craftsy Marketplace, most of which have been deleted by Craftsy. It's going to take awhile for us to hunt down new sources for those patterns. In the meantime there are many links to patterns on our site that no longer work. We apologize if this article contains one or more of those links and appreciate your patience while we straighten things out. Thank you!

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest does not sell or otherwise provide patterns directly. We showcase patterns and projects from various vendors, bloggers and other sources. Please make a note of where you access a pattern (the link in the yellow box toward the end of each Quilting Digest article). That way you can contact Support for that source if you have downloading problems or other issues. Thank you!
