Feature Pretty Blooms in a Special Project

Make the Block in Your Favorite Colors!

Pretty flowers sprouting from spools of thread make a charming quilt block. Finish the block into a small wall quilt or make several for a larger project.

It’s easy to imagine a block on either end of a runner or one made into a throw pillow. It will also be lovely featured in the center of a medallion-style quilt with several pieced and unpieced borders.

Whatever you choose to do with the block, have fun selecting fabrics. It’s a great project for scraps and a wonderful opportunity to use those precious little leftover pieces of favorite prints.

The finished block designed by Heather Briggs from My Sew Quilty Life is 14″ square. Each bloom can also be used as an individual block.

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest does not sell or otherwise provide patterns directly. We showcase patterns and projects from various vendors, bloggers and other sources. Please make a note of where you access a pattern (the link in the yellow box toward the end of each Quilting Digest article). That way you can contact Support for that source if you have downloading problems or other issues. Thank you!
