A big, beautiful double star graces this easy eye-catching quilt. It will make a big impression wherever you choose to display it.

The quilt is perfect for showcasing beautiful fabric, either from a favorite line or that you combine yourself. Even medium-sized prints seems small and show to perfection, so play with the scale of the prints as well as color.

Value also is important. While there is relatively little value contrast in the star itself, imagine how dramatic the quilt will be if you push the value contrasts.

Half-square triangles and squares combine to create the star. It’s an easy quilt to complete and a quick project, as well. You may find yourself making more than one just for the fun of watching various fabric combinations come together.

The finished quilt, designed by Amanda from Material Girl Quilts, is 80″ square.
