This clever design combines a portable ironing board, cutting mat and design board in one carry-along package. It’s perfect for classes and for using next to your sewing machine. It also will work on your lap.
While folded closed you can cut on one side and press on the other. Open it up for a double-sided flannel covered design wall. It’s perfect for laying out and transporting quilt blocks without losing or mixing up the pieces. Plus, since you can stand it up, you can move back from your blocks to see how the design is working.
Aluminized ironing board cover fabric and Insul-Bright batting provide good heat proofing for the ironing pad. Attach a cutting mat for the cutting side.
The finished size, while folded, is 12″ x 9″. Of course, you can make a larger version if you’re so inclined.
