Use the Block in Any Number of Projects!

This beautiful butterfly quilt is perfect for decorating a small space, as it can fit in just about anywhere. Hang it on the wall, use it as a table mat or even lay it over the top of a basket of fruit on the kitchen counter.

The quilt is essentially one block, which opens up a lot of possibilities. Add deeper borders to the sides for lovely place mats. String several together for a table runner, or even make a lap or throw quilt, perhaps with sashing and cornerstones between the blocks.

The block also lends itself to the creative use of fabric styles and color. Make it up in spring colors or match your decor. However you choose to “color” you’re butterfly you’re sure to have a lovely finished mini quilt to enjoy or to give. Your favorite butterfly lover will be thrilled to receive it!

The following photo shows a large quilt  (75″ x 75″) from the same designer. The blocks are twice as large as in the mini quilt but it shows you how the mini’s blocks would look grouped together into a small quilt. You can purchase the large quilt pattern here.

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest has featured many patterns from vendors participating in the Craftsy Marketplace, most of which have been deleted by Craftsy. It's going to take awhile for us to hunt down new sources for those patterns. In the meantime there are many links to patterns on our site that no longer work. We apologize if this article contains one or more of those links and appreciate your patience while we straighten things out. Thank you!

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest does not sell or otherwise provide patterns directly. We showcase patterns and projects from various vendors, bloggers and other sources. Please make a note of where you access a pattern (the link in the yellow box toward the end of each Quilting Digest article). That way you can contact Support for that source if you have downloading problems or other issues. Thank you!
