It’s a Great Project for Scraps!

Create a charming strawberry hot pad from red and pink scraps or choose red and white for more traditional coloring. Either way, this sweet trivet, hot pad, or potholder will be a lovely addition to your kitchen and table.

A pop of green leaves and a button are great finishing touches. Fussy cut the center square for an extra touch of whimsy.

Scrappy Strawberry Hot Pad Pattern

This is a simple project that finishes quickly. The designer has created a short video showing how it’s constructed, which you can find here.

Note for Non-Instagram Users: Click the link to the video. If you get an Instagram screen encouraging you to sign up, click “Open Instagram.” If the next screen shows a variety of photos, click on “Done” in the upper left corner. This should deliver you to the strawberry hot pad tutorial.

The completed hot pad, designed by Eilene Johnson from Simply Eilene, is 8 3/4″ x 10″.

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest has featured many patterns from vendors participating in the Craftsy Marketplace, most of which have been deleted by Craftsy. It's going to take awhile for us to hunt down new sources for those patterns. In the meantime there are many links to patterns on our site that no longer work. We apologize if this article contains one or more of those links and appreciate your patience while we straighten things out. Thank you!

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest does not sell or otherwise provide patterns directly. We showcase patterns and projects from various vendors, bloggers and other sources. Please make a note of where you access a pattern (the link in the yellow box toward the end of each Quilting Digest article). That way you can contact Support for that source if you have downloading problems or other issues. Thank you!
