It Will be Wonderful in Other Colors, Too!

An easy pieced heart takes center stage in this pretty quilt block. The block is oversized and will be a lovely mini quilt on it’s own. Hang it on a wall or display it on a table for Valentine’s or any time.

The block can also be used in other projects. For example, one block will make a pretty pillow or sew three or four together end-to-end for a charming table topper. Four blocks sewn 2 x 2 and with borders will make a sweet baby or wall quilt. Or go ahead and make more blocks for a larger quilt.

Heart in a Star Mini or Block Pattern

Soft sweet fabrics are lovely in this block. It will be wonderful in stronger hues, and even in non-Valentine colors. Play with goodies from your stash for your own interpretation.

The finished block or mini quilt, designed by Lindsey Weight from Primrose Cottage Quilts, is 15″ square.

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest has featured many patterns from vendors participating in the Craftsy Marketplace, most of which have been deleted by Craftsy. It's going to take awhile for us to hunt down new sources for those patterns. In the meantime there are many links to patterns on our site that no longer work. We apologize if this article contains one or more of those links and appreciate your patience while we straighten things out. Thank you!

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest does not sell or otherwise provide patterns directly. We showcase patterns and projects from various vendors, bloggers and other sources. Please make a note of where you access a pattern (the link in the yellow box toward the end of each Quilting Digest article). That way you can contact Support for that source if you have downloading problems or other issues. Thank you!
