Change the Colors to Make it Uniquely Yours!

A dramatic three dimensional effect is stunning in this eye catching quilt. The illusion is created by careful placement of values and colors, as well as by modifying the fabric shapes.

While the quilt looks complicated, it’s very easy to make. Strip piecing and simple construction techniques are the keys to a quick finish.

Black, white and brown are simply stunning in this design. Substitute another color for the brown, such as red or royal blue, for an equally eye catching quilt.

In the quilt shown above, “Vision Quest”, Connie Healy (who is legally blind) added more borders to create a bed-sized quilt. Learn more here.

Borders were also added to the quilt below (found on Pinterest).

Or, go lighter than black for the darkest fabric for a striking quilt that’s a bit softer. The choice is up to you, and whatever colors you choose are sure to be wonderful made up in this pattern. You’ll find several creative examples to get you started here.

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest has featured many patterns from vendors participating in the Craftsy Marketplace, most of which have been deleted by Craftsy. It's going to take awhile for us to hunt down new sources for those patterns. In the meantime there are many links to patterns on our site that no longer work. We apologize if this article contains one or more of those links and appreciate your patience while we straighten things out. Thank you!

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest does not sell or otherwise provide patterns directly. We showcase patterns and projects from various vendors, bloggers and other sources. Please make a note of where you access a pattern (the link in the yellow box toward the end of each Quilting Digest article). That way you can contact Support for that source if you have downloading problems or other issues. Thank you!
