These pretty placemats each have a clever pocket for silverware or a napkin. Make them up in colors for any occasion or to match your decor. Their easy charm will welcome everyone to the table.

They will be festive in Christmas fabrics, sweet in 1930s reproduction prints and pretty in just about any color scheme. A set will also make a great gift, giving you another opportunity to play with colors and fabrics.

The pattern, from Just Jude Designs, includes instructions for finishing them with or without a binding. Choose whichever works best for you.

A bit of hand quilting outlines the patchwork center. If you’re short on time, machine quilt them for a quick finish.

Also included in the pattern is a matching coaster set with a fabric box to store them in.

The finished sizes are:

Placemat: 15.5″ x 12.5″ (with binding)
Coaster: 6″ x 6″
